V. Dracano
We’ve yo-yo’ed back and forth from Bristle Woods to the Islands. It’s time for a showdown with the toughest mouse on the isles- the Dragon mouse.
Quick Recap
Here’s what we need to do before we start here:
- Reach the rank of Knight
- Craft the Ancient Box Trap, using the pieces collected from the Jungle of Dread and the three tribe chieftains
- Use the Ancient Box Trap to catch an Acolyte Mouse
- Obtain the Frozen Scroll from the Acolyte
- Collect 60 runes (we’ll be using them shortly, and NOT as runic cheese)
- Collect 10 yellow, red and blue pepper seeds
The Trap
Using the Frozen Scroll you just received from the Acolyte, we’re going to make your dragon-catching trap: the Ice Maiden.
1 Frozen Scroll + 1 High Tension Spring Parts + 60 Runes = 1 Ice Maiden Trap
(Runes, not runic cheese. Hopefully you haven’t used all your runes!)
The high tension spring parts are deceptively easy to get- smash a high-tension spring trap (purchased in the Town of Gnawnia, in case you forgot!)
This trap is the strongest one we’ve ever seen, and it’s an entirely new trap type- Draconic. The good news is that means that it will do great damage against the dragon. The bad news is that for all of your effort, you can’t use this trap anywhere else in mousehunt! Outside of Dracano, the trap is useless. So for all you rhinobot haters out there- no, you can’t substitute this trap for the rhinobot.
The Cheese
You collected those red, blue and yellow pepper seeds, right? Craft them together to make Inferno Pepper Plants. Once you get them, pick some Inferno Peppers.
Now, you should have at least 18 inferno peppers (just like you had for the jungle.)
Go and buy 48 coconut milk, 54 C&W, and collect 18 fire salt from the jungle. If you’re short, collect either blue or yellow seeds and go after the stonework warrior and primal mice. If you’re lucky, your mysterious box had 24 inside.
Time to craft Inferno Havarti:
16 Coconut Milk + 18 Curds & Whey + 6 Fire Salt + 6 Inferno Peppers = 6 Inferno Havarti
We’ve got the cheese, we’ve got the trap- now let’s go get the mouse!
Dracano
The good news is that this is like the Pinnacle Chamber in that it’s incredibly simple. There are three mice- the Dragon, along with the Whelpling and the Draconic Warrior. The Whelpling gives tons of gold while the Draconic Warrior gives tons of points. And the dragon? He gives truckloads of both.
You have two goals in Dracano. First, go after the Dragon- it’s a tough mouse, and you may not get it on your first go. If you do get one, he’ll drop the Dragon’s Chest. If not, head back to the other sections of the Isles and begin anew! It’s a hassle, I know. Then again, not too much different from the Master of the Dojo, is it?
With that chest, you can access the next part of Rodentia, known as the Seasonal Garden! Head over to that page for more info on that.
Now, there’s also a secondary goal in Dracano. Every mouse found in Dracano drops a piece of loot known as the Dragon Ember. It serves a couple of uses. First of all, it’s used in a base known as the Molten Shrapnel base, which is one of the strongest bases you can get outside of Ronza. It’s also used to make the super-powerful Limited Edition Shadow Trap, the Cackle Lantern. The second use is in making a lantern. This lantern is the key to traveling to the final area of the Tribal Isles- Balack’s Cove.
