j. The Fiery Warpath

You’ve done it- you’ve made it to the rank of Baron. You have traveled through Gnawnia, battled the Burroughs, forged through Furoma, bested Bristle Woods… well, you get the idea. You’ve experienced quite a bit. Now, you’ve got one last obstacle ahead of you. The trials will be challenging, but the rewards are boundless; you’ll have an opportunity to get the best traps in the game. Period. They make all other traps look like they were designed by Larry.

Now, I know that most of you have asked that I would write a page for this section. However, I’m sticking with my desires to stay away from Mousehunt, which means that will never be the case. However, I wouldn’t be the writer that I am if I didn’t at least provide you with some guidance, and so here, in a nutshell, is what I recommend. It will be brief, and it will not be to the level that you have come to expect from the guide, and I apologize for that. However, as I’ve never been there myself, I am not in a position to provide my usual guidance. That does not mean that this guide should not still be helpful for hunters, though- use this page in conjunction with other resources, and I hope that this guide can still be helpful even as a Baron.

So let’s get to it.

To begin, you need the right to travel to the Fiery Warpath, a location found to the West of the lagoon. There are two facets to gaining access: one is to earn the right to travel, and the other is to get the requisite “map.” To the first point, you will need three mice: a Technic King, a Mystic King, and a Silth. For strategies on catching those respective mice, please reference the whisker woods and zugzwang’s tower pages.

Once you have your Silth and your Technic/Mystic King, you’ll need to grab yourself a Sandtail Call to Arms. This can be found only after catching these mice, and can only be found in the Seasonal Garden, from the following mice:

SB+ will help in this, as two of the mice are SB+ preferential. However, as always, it’s not necessarily a requirement.

Now, in discussing the Fiery Warpath proper, I admit that I am woefully under-qualified. To that end, I cannot provide advice. However, what I can do is provide you with links to places that will. I know, it’s not the most ambitious thing, but between the two you should be able to get a very firm grasp of what’s going on. I recommend Paul’s analysis to start, followed by the very put-together image below that.

A visual Guide to the Fiery Warpath

I have been advised to give you one piece of very valuable advice:
Be prepared to travel through the warpath MANY, MANY TIMES.

The reason for this is that the Warmonger has a lot of loot- the warpath victory, which is required for each of the new traps, along with each of the three unique pieces to get those traps. He also drops a lot of other loot, some of which that isn’t even that useful to you. It’s like waiting for the Heatbath Blueprints from the Dragon Mouse- there are no guarantees, and so it can take quite a long time to get all of the loot. All told, you need three warpath victories and four pieces of loot- one for the oasis, one for the sphynx, and two for the monstrobot.

While you can buy the parts in the market, each one costs millions. And while you’ll get your warpath victories after three runs, the rest of the loot can take far more than that. All in all, you had best get comfortable, because you will be here for a while!

Of course, once you’ve finished it, the real prize comes from those Warpath Victories. Prepare yourself for some almost stupidly-powerful traps that blow everything else out of the water. You’ll never have to worry yourself over physical, tactical or hydro traps again.

As for the specific recipes, here are some wiki links

Best of luck, hunters!
