There are a few big shout-out “THANK YOU” things to do here:
- Pooflinger tools and Rohan Mehta – Without Rohan’s generous help, this site wouldn’t exist. I’d be stuck on those stupid google docs forever, which totally ruins the flow of a guide. I’m sure we all agree that this setup is 100% more suitable for our tastes.
Spam his inbox with thank yous; if he hadn’t provided a new website, I may never have bothered reposting the guide at all. - The Mousehunt Wiki – Anybody who’s ever talked to me knows I’m not a fan of the wiki. Part of this is because I don’t get along with the site admin, but the big thing for me is that the wiki doesn’t include guides of any kind because “they aren’t fact.” I wrote this guide in rebuttal to the wiki, in some ways.
However, regardless of that, the wiki is an invaluable resource. I reference it all the time to check and make sure that my data is accurate, and the guide is riddled with links to the wiki because it’s always good to have access to it. - Paul Humphreys and MH Analytics – I think technically MH Analytics is Rohan, Paul and I, but honestly Paul does 99% of the work and deserves 100% of the credit for what we do. His Catch Rate Estimates tool in particular is tremendous. Argue all you want that it’s not accurate- I use the estimates he gives to choose how I hunt, and much of the advice I give comes from the conclusions that you draw from that tool.
And Paul in general has been very helpful in this process, so a big thank you to you, Paul- for both your support and for the tools that have helped me shape the guide - Readers. Every reader who sends in feedback, a correction, a question- thanks to each one of you. A guide is pointless if it doesn’t help someone, and so more than anyone else, you make this guide so special to me and to everyone else. Thank you.
